Latin American banks are betting on apps to be everywhere

Technisys announced the results of its joint study with Stanford University’s GMix Program, a market research on Digital Banking in Latin America. The sample featured banks from 11 Latin American countries, including international and domestic, public and private banks of several sizes.

90% of the banks have pointed out that the reason why they pursued digital capability is to continue to be competitive and to attract young clients (millennials). 72% of banks believe that, in five years’ time, their clients will not be required to personally go to branches and 78% estimate that there will be a clear demand for omnichannel services.
