He pointed out that last year, a study on the digital banking outlook in Latin America carried out by Technisys and Stanford University revealed that only 28% of banks are digital ready. These banks have undergone an organizational transformation that allows them to be truly omnichannel in nature.
Brazil, Mexico and Chile are leading the way, but there are also a lot of digital banking initiatives in Colombia linked to social inclusion. Digital banking is not only about omnichannel capability, which is having all channels aligned and connected. It’s also about imagining new lines of revenue and implementing them with this technology.
