Banco Original wins Celent Model Bank Award 2017

Banco Original was recognized with Celent Model Bank Award 2017, one of the most respectful banking innovation awards. Original won in the category Consumer Digital Platforms – the bank uses Technisys’ Cyberbank Core solution.

Founded in Brazil, Banco Original is the first 100% digital bank in Latin America. Through its Open Banking platform, Original has created open APIs that leverage third party developers and platforms like Facebook and Instagram.

Banco Original has pioneered in new technologies that offers flexibility and agility to create and to launch product and services. Regarding the digital bank building process, Celent highlighted Banco Original’s ability for pushing the boundaries, as they managed to work with regulators to redefine banking processes and standards. About Cyberbank Core, Celent mentioned: “Cyberbank core is designed for digital banks, offering a native API, real-time functionality, and cloud readiness. Instead of taking months to release products — which is standard with legacy core platforms — services can be launched within weeks or even days. Implementing an innovative core platform was a crucial piece to launching the bank.”
